Three Facets of Supplier Linkage: Stock, Order and Content

Stock link

Through a "stock link," we link the suppliers' stocks to the web shop. This way, products continue to be offered when their own stock runs out. It enables you to get real-time insight into their stock levels and to communicate accurate and timely information to customers. But of course also to be able to offer a much larger assortment and make dropshipment and or cross docking possible.

Order link (optional)

We can then automate the entry of orders to the various suppliers using an "order link. Here, orders are sent directly from the supplier to the customer, allowing companies to reduce the need for physical storage and maintenance of products. In addition, the system includes Crossdock functionality, allowing companies to sell their own products without stocking them in advance. Instead, they can order the products from the supplier as soon as an order is placed. This minimizes the financial risks and operational complexities associated with inventory management.

Content link (optional)

The content link automates the process of integrating product data from suppliers into your webshop. This means that companies no longer have to manually enter product information, which is not only time-saving, but also ensures accurate and consistent content.

Question & Answer

Can I link multiple suppliers with my webshop?

Yes, you can integrate an unlimited number of vendors, as long as those vendors share the desired information via FTP or API.

Is it always necessary to do an inventory?

No. If you have already obtained the necessary documentation (in login data) from the supplier and we can get started right away, we will skip this step.

What is cross-dock?

Cross-docking is a logistics method in which products are distributed directly from the supplier or manufacturer to a customer or retail chain. In this process, inbound freight is transferred directly to an outbound shipment, eliminating the need for warehousing. The distribution center acts more as a sorting center than a warehouse. In practice, it is a hub where inventory is quickly processed and passed through the shipping process.

What is dropshipping?

Dropshipping is an e-commerce fulfillment method in which a store does not have to stock the products it sells. Instead, the store places an order with the supplier or wholesaler as soon as a customer makes a purchase. The supplier ships the product directly to the customer. This eliminates the need for the store to store inventory or manage shipments itself. Dropshipping requires good cooperation between the store and the supplier for efficient delivery.
