From a thriving idea to a business
WHF begins as a clothing party. Marsha, manager of a clothing store, organizes clothing parties for girlfriend groups. She brings clothes and gives advice. This runs very well. Marsha finds out that the women she serves like to be presented with a number of sets. It has to be easy, timeless and affordable to look nice. They want more of that! So they are often asked where her store can be visited. And that's where the first big step to the company WHF begins.
Rodney, Marsha's companion, completed higher textile school and was already setting up WHF online. Together, they then decided to make WHF their primary income. They moved into a building in Tiel, where the store and customer service for the online store were established. The clothing parties and what they learned there remain the foundation. And that works.
Need a system that grows with you: data migration to Lightspeed Omni
Because of the strides WHF was making, they needed to switch to another system. Rodney had started with SEO Shop (was later acquired by Lightspeed) for the website, but because they were now adding a physical store, they needed a POS system for retail. They ended up with Lightspeed Omni. When you decide on that, it requires transferring all your data from the old system to the new one. Rodney knew a thing or two about this sort of thing and therefore also knew that you shouldn't underestimate this process. It's very complex and it's better to use an expert on this. He indicates: "The time that data migration takes you if you are not an expert is greatly underestimated and the chance of mistakes, which then cost you even more time, is high. Growth spurt: Challenges and solutions for multiple websites on Lightspeed
Three years later, WHF made another big step. WHF online went international! Online shops for . That's great, of course, but also brings challenges. Because, how do you make sure your different websites show the current stocks? After all, Lightspeed Omni can only link 1 online shop to 1 retail store and stock. And how do you make sure that everything you adjust on the NL WHF site is also adjusted on the other sites, without having to work night and night manually? Rodney contacted us for a solution. And we had one.
MultiShop for Lightspeed
Since Lightspeed is limited to 1 online shop for 1 retail outlet, Duxly designed an application that solves Rodney's problem.
