A true one stop shop, we love that! The company was founded in April of 2022 by Lucas Poppinga and his business partner. Lucas was responsible for the partnership with Duxly and he already had experience running a webshop before he started Thuishulpmiddelen. The company sells mainly to private individuals, but also to healthcare facilities. With the company, Lucas and his companion are trying to improve the quality and freedom of their customers' homes.
The course of action before Duxly was called in
Home aids has around ten suppliers, one of which is the very largest. This supplier is responsible for about half of the products in the webshop. But what if this supplier cannot deliver a product? Then a nasty process begins. Thuishulpmiddelen must communicate to the customer that the product is out of stock and when this item will be available again. Not only is this annoying for the customer and for Thuishulpmiddelen, but the process also takes a lot of time. So the company was looking for a partner who could help create an inventory link, which is where we came in.
The contact and the solution
Thuishulpmiddelen has Lightspeed as its e-commerce platform and they approached the company asking if they knew of a party that could develop an inventory link. Lightspeed then referred Thuishulpmiddelen to us. The communication prior to signing the contract went well and smoothly follow Lucas, he experienced no problems there. When the stock link was set up there were still some glitches according to Lucas, the link did not work properly yet and he had to constantly check if it was working properly. Lucas thought that was unfortunate, because he wanted to take it right out of his hands. Duxly then offered to help with some additional tasks for Home Assistants without charging for them. Lucas says Duxly was very helpful and it all worked out in the end. These days he rarely looks after it he says.
The collaboration
With Duxly's inventory link, Thuishulpmiddelen no longer has to disappoint customers about delayed orders or an out-of-stock product. It saves Lucas quite a bit of time, as he no longer has to perform this entire process manually. Not only Thuishulpmiddelen is very happy with the result, the webshop's largest supplier is also happy. The supplier now only has to process orders and has a clearer overview. According to Lucas, the whole process is still running smoothly and there are no more problems, he says this has been very important for Thuishulpmiddelen. Lucas would therefore definitely recommend a partnership with Duxly to other entrepreneurs.
Future
What would the future of Home Aids look like without Duxly? For starters, Lucas would consider that very bad news. The stock link is already in place, so it will remain. "But then if something goes wrong with the link, where should we go?" Fortunately, we are not planning to stop Lucas! According to Lucas, there is a lot of competition within e-commerce these days. Because of all that competition, he does worry a bit about the future. He thinks quite a few web shops will soon quit and it will become a slightly less popular business model. Lucas does have a positive feeling about the future when you talk about five years or so.
