Commerce Connect '24: Dine & Wine edition
On Thursday, May 23, together with Growww Today, Sendcloud and Mollie, we organized the second edition of Commerce Connect: Dine & Wine edition. After the success of last year a new edition was inevitable, in this case a new year also means a new approach. Where the previous edition consisted of speakers and presentations, this edition was all about inspiration and interaction by sharing and learning from each other's challenges.
Together with 14 entrepreneurs, we sat down to dinner at The Lobby in Amsterdam-Oost. While a delicious four-course dinner was served and we enjoyed a glass of wine, we discussed the latest developments in e-commerce, such as AI, cross-border shipping methods and online marketing trends.
The Key takeaways
- The applications of AI in e-commerce are popping up like mushrooms. It's there to stay, and it can be used almost anywhere in your business. Think about processes or components, such as content creation, customer service, etc.
- Cross-border shipping can result in longer delivery times. To avoid dissatisfying overseas customers and spending too much time on customer service inquiries, it is important to communicate proactively and apply expectation management so your customers know where they stand.
- Each platform has unique characteristics. This does not mean that one platform is the best. Therefore, determine what the added value is for a new platform over your current situation. The switch itself is also a major investment and takes time, and should be included in this consideration.
We look back on a fantastic evening, full of new insights and collaborations.
The next edition is already scheduled in the fall, this time in the eastern part of the country. Stay tuned!
