The Woon Winkel
At Duxly, we think entrepreneurs in the Netherlands pride themselves on their go-getter mentality. With an idea in their heads and the drive to get started, they embark on their entrepreneurial adventure. And like any entrepreneur, being successful is the ultimate dream. But the bigger the success, the bigger the challenges. And that's where we at Duxly come in. We help entrepreneurs overcome these challenges without sacrificing growth and success.
As Duxly, we also believe that entrepreneurship is all about taking action and daring to make choices. Growth is an important part of a successful business, but it can also lead to problems if you don't get there in time. We understand that it's hard to keep an overview when your business is growing and it's hard to find time for the things that really matter. That's why we offer our clients time-saving solutions, so that they can spend their time again doing business or the things they really enjoy. As Sandra, our satisfied client, discovered, Duxly can help sustain growth and success.
The start of Woonwinkel.nl
Sandra innocently began her entrepreneurial career when she and her partner decided to build their own bungalow. But as more people asked if they could build for them too, they decided to take the plunge. What started as a private project grew into three businesses of her own: bungalow rental, a home furnishing store and a home furnishing outlet. Sandra had achieved true entrepreneurial success.
But then Sandra started running into some problems related to the growth of her online and offline home furnishings stores. She knew something had to change before things got out of hand. At Duxly, we understand that growth and expansion often bring problems and know that the solution lies in customized automation. Working with Sandra, together we were able to get her business back on track.
"The cooperation was very pleasant. The communication was fast and direct. Everything you actually wish for in such a process."
When Sandra approached us after a tip from her POS system and our partner Lightspeed, we knew we could help her. As a partner of Lightspeed, we have been working closely with this system for years and know its ins and outs. In addition, we have already developed several tools for Lightspeed to help businesses reach their potential.
Together, we dove deep into Sandra's businesses and business processes to get her challenges and requirements clear. This is an important step, as we were then able to build tools or technical links that helped her solve her problems and achieve the results she wants to see.
Challenges and desires
Together with Sandra, we came up with two main wishes:
1. As the owner of two different home store concepts (DeWoonWinkel and Houten Meubel Outlet), I want to work only with 1 retail organization and therefore in 1 POS system, so that I have an overview, can work faster at the checkout and have less manual work and administration.
2. As the owner of both an online and offline home furnishings store and an online and offline outlet, I want the inventories of all to be linked so that there is always a real-time view of inventory, thus drastically reducing erroneous transactions.
With the implementation of our MultiShop tool, built specifically for Lightspeed, we were able to address Sandra's biggest challenges. MultiShop allows us to link multiple web shops to a single stock point, allowing Sandra to get real-time visibility into her inventory.
Our IT specialist Tim had the challenge of creating a retail organization that would support both the home improvement store and the outlet. In doing so, he had to take into account the different sales concepts of these two businesses. This was no easy task, but Tim did an excellent job within the existing MultiShop tool.
"I like action; just do it, clear steps. And immediate results. That's what you get at Duxly."
At Duxly, we are proud to report that Sandra now has one integrated POS system and real-time inventory management for her four stores. Thanks to our solution, the system now works for her, rather than the other way around, and she has the peace of mind and time she needed. Although, when we ask if she has more time now, she says it's hard to say, given that her business is growing tremendously and is very busy as a result. We consider this a successful mission!
